and is super delicious! It goes well with rice or roti!

INGREDIENTS


INSTRUCTIONS


  1. Wash the dal thoroughly for four times until water runs clear
  2. Add 3 cups of water to the dal and set timer to 10 minutes on high pressure in insta pot
  3. Place the pot on the stove on medium flame
  4. Add the ghee to the pot once hot and stir for 2 minutes
  5. Add the Jeera powder and stir for a minute
  6. Add chopped onions, garlic and ginger powder and stir on medium heat until onion turns golden-brown
  7. Add Chilli powder, Dhaniya powder and stir well
  8. Add chopped tomato and stir for 2-3 mins
  9. Add 1 tsp of salt and stir well
  10. Cover the pot with lid for 2-3 minutes until tomatoes soften
  11. Check the dal to see its cooked and add 3/4th cup of water to thin its consistency
  12. Pour the contents of the pan into the hot dal and stor well
  13. Dal Tadka is now hot and ready to serve!
